Vanessa Marie Noonan graced this world on January 17, 1988 and was said to have been a leader from the very beginning. (Keeping her mother in labor for almost two days, it was clear that Vanessa would arrive on her own terms.) Though her parents deny these allegations, it is said that her first words may have been mystery, bookstore, and Shakespeare.* As an avid reader and an exceptional student, Vanessa discovered at a young age that she would devote her entire life to the encouragement and preservation of reading. Through her teenage years, she spent most Friday and Saturday nights reading on her grandmother's living room couch late into the early morning. She's read everything from YA to teen stories, from fiction to historical fiction to supernatural/magical to (her new favorite genre) mystery. In fact, Vanessa will give any novel a chance if handed to her. Currently, her bookshelves are on the verge of bursting from overcrowding (and this makes Vanessa both happy and sad). If you would like to donate to the "New Bookspace" fund, please send your checks directly to Vanessa.
*This third-person autobiography may not be entirely true, but like most authors, Ms. Noonan reserves the right to build herself an imagined and created place in which to reside in an otherwise dilapidated and boring world.
