30 by 30 [Ends January 2018]

When I was in high school, I thought that by the time I was 26, I would be rocking a six-figure job, married with kids, and living the good life. Ah, teenage dreams, right? I've realized that there is so much that I should have done by now that I haven't gotten around to doing; therefore, I have created this 30 by 30 list containing 30 things I would like to accomplish by the time I'm 30.


  

  • Read 52 books in 2015
  • Read a biography on Abraham Lincoln (I already bought it!)
  • Move into a BIGGER place (preferably not an apartment, condo, townhouse, etc.); decorate a house I am excited to come home to WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE MOVED INTO OUR FIRST HOUSE ON JULY 25, 2014!
  • Pay off ALL my debt (excluding student loans, seeing as my very good friend Sallie Mae owns me)
  • Marry the love of my life
  • Run a 5k - The Color Vibe 5k on May 31, 2014!!!
  • Buy my first puppy
  • Plant a garden
  • Learn a second language = French or Karen or Karenni or Arabic
  • Travel to another country (London, Scotland); travel to France; travel to Canada (with Jay and/or his family)
  • Travel to new states I've never been to: New Orleans (Louisiana); Washington D.C.; Boston and Salem (Massachusetts); San Diego, San Francisco, Hollywood, and Los Angelos (California); travel to my state's and nation's capitols - both Springfield (Illinois) and Washington D.C.
  • Put together a 750 piece puzzle; then, put together a 1,000 piece puzzle
  • Camp in the Porcupine Mountains (Michigan)
  • Meet a Newbery Award-winning author (Kathering Applegate)
  • Receive my Bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education/ESL
  • Receive my Master's in ESOL
  • Read the ENTIRE Outlander series (Diana Gabaldon)
  • Get engaged to Jason! (We got engaged on November 12, 2014!
  • Complete one year of full-time teaching - last day of school this year is June 10, 2014!
  • Read ALL of Heather Blake-Webber's novels
  • Throw a rockin' Halloween party
  • Host a family Christmas
  • Write a novel; Find a publisher who is willing to publish me; Get published
  • Live in another state (preferably NY or NOLA)
  • Start a collection of something (magnets, glasses (cups), PotBelly figurines, Willow Tree Angels, signed books by authors)
  • Buy a sewing maching and learn to sew
  • Have a baby
  • Attend the TESOL and IRC conferences in 2014
  • Watch the Northern Lights
  • Attend the annual Springfield IRC Reading Conference

Halfway through my TWENTIES?! When the heck did that happen?!
